#Mamavation Monday Week 5 August 22, 2010

I think that’s down a pound or two.

Not much to say.

I can’t get motivated to do anything.  Treadmill is still outside, even though I promised myself I would move it in and USE IT this week. 

Week 3 without buying pop though.  I’ve had an occassional soda here and there, but nothing like it used to be.

Still trying to make healthier decisions with meals and snacks.

Depression has been creeping back up so I’m feeling like doo.

    Best wishes keeping up with improving yourself while dealing with depression. Journal, reach out, do what you can to motivate yourself through it. You will get through it.

  5. I think you will be pleasantly surprised how much a difference it makes not to drink so much soda. I’ve completely gone off of it, and just drink water and the occasional cup of coffee. Everything tastes a lot better and I use a lot less salt (some foods even taste too salty for me!)

    Keep up the good work – it takes time. I know – I’m right there with you! 🙂

    Maybe try scheduling your workouts so that you will just feel like it’s another thing to do that day instead of having to get motivated to do it?

    Sorry to hear that. I suffer from that affliction too. It just plain sucks.
    That said, the only thing that really snaps me out of it is just getting off of my ass and doing something, even if it’s just getting outside and going for a walk. Do try today to just get up and do 10 minutes of some activity. It really does help. I know how hard it is to motivate when you’re feeling so awful.

    How about just getting it inside today and walking on it for 10 minutes? Just do it!

    Awesome on the soda! That is a huge accomplishment!

    Good job on the loss of pounds. I think it is time to move in that treadmill and get those endorphins flowing to curb the depression. I’ll be cheering you on this week!

    Way to go not buying pop! That is great! Even in bad weeks there’s usually some good parts. 🙂 I totally get the depression thing, and right now in my situtation the only thing that keeps me from being in an eternal funk is to force myself to work out. I hope you start feeling better soon!

  12. Hey girl, one day at a time. And having been there with the dreaded D and it can really take the wind out of your sails but honestly, exercise is a great way to overcome it. The natural endorphins fight those symptoms like you wouldn’t believe. Plus, it gives your mind something else to focus on.

    You can do it. I hope this week the sun shines a bit brighter for you. Hugs!

    Despite having a “un-motivated” week, your doing fantastic! We all have those weeks. The most important thing is to not give up on your goals, or yourself. A pound is a pound. And you lost it! You are one pound closer to your goal!!!

  17. This is what I would recommend. Just plan to get on that treadmill once this week. Once is better than nothing. And then do once next week. You may surprise yourself and do it more than once and that is a bonus. But plan for just once. That way, you aren’t making grandiose plans you are never going to get to and you can out do yourself very easily. Better for your ego and momentum. XXOO

    you’re doing great think of all you have acomplished instead of the failures i know its easy to get discouraged ive been there a few times but you have to start again and keep going.
